Introduction
Welcome to my music and art website. I love many kinds of music and also spend much of my time with a paintbrush in my hand. I always try to produce something that is eye-catching or thought provoking and it’s chaotic at times. Each attempt is an adventure into the unknown.
As I dabble there has to be music on the radio or a CD playing. I have been associated with it throughout my life and have enormous admiration for those gifted with outstanding musical creativity. Music makes me happy, moves me and helps to express thoughts or feelings visually.
These two passions are brought together here to show paintings mainly inspired by music. Listening intently to such diverse sources as Pink Floyd and The Black Eyed Peas or Gustav Mahler and Igor Stravinsky has influenced the pictures shown. Art history too has been used as you can see from the references in some of my work.
Painting constantly produces surprises as I love experimentation and playing with colour. There is no consistent or distinctive style to my work – it changes from one painting to the next!
